So the Europeans gave our Native population viruses, some trinkets and in some cases arms, then took all the rest and called them savages. Hmm? It was all so wrong in retrospect. But retrospect is the operative word. I was a little girl when I read a book about all of the major tribes in North America. I felt bad for them then and still do.

This reminds me of a sign that I read recently that had a picture of a Native American with the comment, "Trust the Government, Just Ask Any Native American."
