How fun. I love your choices here. My Sister Barbara who passed away in 2001 was really good at finding vintage clothing in second hand stores. She was so good at that. It was fascinating to see her wear some of the things she found.

My daughters wore a lot of "vintage" clothes in college - it was kinda the thing to do. They'd hit the thrift shops and look for things. I found a cashmere sweater there once that I loved. But as a rule, no, not for me these days. I have a couple of Levi jackets that I kept though... I still love them.

Re: Goldiec, I remember them from junior high school.
I am tall, so they do not work well for me.

Re: Kabu, I bet her collection is amazing.
I have a few pieces, but mine are from the 80s.

Re: Pat_B, I am a fan of Gunne Sax, but I too pass the smaller sizes.
I still have my Gunne Sax Prairie coat. Four pregnancies later, it "almost" fits me still.

Re: Annicita, I wore ruffles on my Gunne sax blouses in the 80s.
I loved them back then, but now they are a bit overkill.

I was in Walmart a couple days ago and there were dresses on
the racks - smaller sizes, so I went right by them - that looked like your prairie dress photo. Prints, bits of lace, long sleeves and full skirts. I guess a popular style always comes around again...

Ruffles are making a comeback. I'm not a fan of them.

This sort of fashion is very neat to me, a sort of time capsule to bygone eras.
