We had those killing frost warnings here, too after a week or so of
promises... The only thing growing like wild is my back yard lawn, which is totally out of control already. Time to shop for a self-propelled electric lawn mower.

Yes, a friend told me he had bean plants (too early ) and the frost killed them in his greenhouse. Sometimes in the past, we have had late frost killing potato tops that were planted on Good Friday. Better to be a bit late than sorry.

Yes, that is what I remember most about Colorado - the weather is able to change very quickly. That, and a steakhouse somewhere...I think Denver.

I love the update on the doves. We can never plant before Memorial Day because we never know what the weather is going to be like.
