Oh! dear, she does sound a bit iffy. I suppose a good detective has to take things at face value. Whatever that is.

Good Evening
I think something is off and Queen Isis knows it. She had to leave the room before she did something dreadful to the woman. Then she would be in trouble. I'm not sure what the woman is trying to accomplish but my guess is she's trying to build a case against her husband. I will have to keep reading to see what's really going on. Great story!

This is a great story. Has my interest piqued. I have a friend who, in her younger other life, was married to a musician and they lived in England. It didn't last.

Cats can always tell a fake as well girls. Graysome will leave the room and hide somewhere if he doesn't like someone who comes here. My cat in Australia would sit on the lap of anyone who didn't like cats.

Re: Good morning!
You may be right, Sassy, there is a hint of the "Moonlighting" flavor. I was a fan. But my Fat Chance detectives are not nearly as hip.

This is getting interesting. His new client has good reason to be suspicious, and I find it interesting that the cat knew that Birdie was on the other side of the door. Maybe she was a bit jealous of the wealthy client. Just a thought. Cats are seriously creepy when it comes to many situations.

Good morning!
I don't know if you ever watched it, but your story reminds me a bit of that 80s Moonlighting tv show that starred Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd. The duo worked well together and there was always a bit of sexual undertones and tension between them. Thinking about it now, the 80s had some great television.
