We used to have a lamp called an Aladdin. It gave a lovely warm glow. The trouble was it had a mantle that took over from the wick. Of course if one was not extremely careful the mantle would slowly disintegrate.

I think I understand the lamp without a wick feeling.
Matches are scarce around here, too - it seems there's been a shipping delay in the Suez canal, and there may be shortages of critical items: bathroom tissue and coffee. The performance in the front window? Oh, no.... That's an observation post, not a stage, at least from this old house.

The legs!!!!! They seem to be quite the problem. Don't ever undress in front of the windows. I know your house is close to the road. You will cause a pile up of cars. probably you will get a fine for giving a leg show!
