Re:
C_C_T, our COVID numbers are going up again. They are saying it's because of variants. I don't know what is going to happen.

Re: Happy Baking
QuailNest, it really is nice to cook on a snowy day. It's going to be very cold again today.

I don't know how you do it, everything under control. I suppose once the fine weather comes there will be no keeping your little friends indoors. We are supposed to come out of lockdown today. It has happened before. I still think it is wise to be careful, but folk probably will do what they want.

No sign yet from my Gnomes, so no easter eggs for them. If they are home I have a packet of very small eggs to hide here there and everywhere.

Good morning.
Like your gnomes, I needed some extra sleep. It rained here this morning so we took a drive to get some breakfast and then we parked and watched the rain. It is so calming.

Re:
Taps, I do hope you enjoy a beautiful Easter dinner. I love the holidays but they are a lot of work. Thank goodness my granddaughter comes over to help me. My grandson wants a frozen chocolate pie for the holiday and that will be easy enough. I just have to go to the freezer section of the grocery store. I wish you the very best.

Re:
FSI, I couldn't believe it when I heard the weather report this morning. I've really enjoyed the warmer temps and now we are going back into frigid temps. We will have to bring out our winter coats tomorrow. We will have to bring the plants into the kitchen to make sure they stay warm. There's no heat in the back sunroom. You are fortunate that your snow is done till November. Are you cooking for Easter?

Your getting ready for Easter sounds like me a few years back. I always had the family gatherings on special days back then. Time took its tole and the tide turned and I physically can't do it anymore. But the remembering is fun.

The rain is going to bring our temperatures down. No snow for us. I believe snow is done until November at the earliest.

Re: Grocery lists are very helpful - even if you forget them as you head out
Pat, it's funny you mentioned butter because I just put 4 sticks on the counter to soften up. I'm working on my list and I almost forgot to write down the ingredients for biscuits. Thank goodness I started working on my list. Are you cooking for Easter?

Grocery lists are very helpful - even if you forget them as you head out
the door to go shopping. Just writing things down helps us remember - although I almost always forget at least one item if I don't have the list. Yesterday I forgot mine, remembered a couple things I'd left off the list after I got to the store. Checked when I got home. Forgot butter.
