Sea Gypsy, I'm glad that you can at least wear sandals. Thankfully your foot is healing. Good Luck with your 2nd vaccine.

Thanks you for asking about my foot. It is still healing and I cannot wear a shoe yet but sandals work. it’s a crusty-loaf French-style bread. The custom in Italy is to put an egg in the center for prosperity. I do that. Been a busy week.

Sea Gypsy, I hope everything goes good with your second shot. I researched the difference between the first shot and the second for the vaccine and what I found was that they are the same. Some people are having reactions to the second shot. Enjoy your Easter festivities. My family will be here for the holiday. I've never made bread for Easter. What kinds do you make? How is your foot doing?

Re: Re: Goldie - I’m getting the 2nd dose of vaccine on Saturday.
The family is supposed to come over for a simple dinner - distanced - in Saturday evening. I hope I feel okay. One daughter and family are flying to the snow to ski and snowboard on Sunday morning & I’m going to my other daughter’s for a second Easter dinner on Sunday, provided everyone feels well. I usually like to cook all week. Then I give out treats and breads as I make them. That way folks won’t be overwhelmed with food and sweets on Easter. Used to have massive dinners...

Re:
Sea Gypsy, are you having family over for Easter? I'm slowly bringing in everything I need and my granddaughter Natasha said she would come to help cook the night before. She always helps me because there's so much work to do.

BC-A, I loved your memories of your squirrels. I love Fluffy the Teddy Bear Squirrel. I wonder how long squirrels live?

You are getting ready and it's a good idea. I may have time to bake a little yet tonight. I hope so.

COVID has altered our lives more than we thought culturally and in duration. Enjoy the holiday.

Shopping early for Easter's a good idea. Squirrels know trees best. Ours lived in the biggest tree, ha, a maple - Sherwood (a female), followed by Gertrude and, believe it or not, her son Fluffy the Teddy Bear Squirrel, born on 1980, left, andxwe recognized each other in the backyard 1991. He was alive and living in the big tree, when I moved in 2004.

Re: That is quite a stockpile of eggs.
Sassy, you are always welcome to dinner! It's so dreary outside and it's still raining.

That is quite a stockpile of eggs.
Deviled eggs are one of my favorites. Your Easter dinner will be enough for everyone in Ohio and Pennsylvania. What time should we be there? Thankfully, our rain has stopped. We have cloud cover, but it is still warm.
