you ever try to spell Episcopal? -- also it's a long word -- people have to use up 2 lines to write our church's name.
i like lite -- because it is so lite -- don't have to believe all that much -- just do things to upset the applecart from time to time like ordain women and homosexuals -- ain't a bad thing -- just causes a lot of upset.

Passion of Christ

I've been working on a Passion story myself -- you can check out the bare outline -- it's one of my blogs.
basic idea: everybody there was like everybody here.
Yeshua was a rabbi, had a synagogue.
Yeshua was preaching individual salvation without need of priests and sacrifice.
The priests didn't like the idea.
They wanted to confront Yeshua -- try to get him to change. The meeting got out of hand and they got mad and accused him of blasphemy and sent him to Pilate.
Pilate really didn't want anything to do with this mess -- he saw that the priests were jealous of Yeshua. He wanted to thwart them as much as he could.
The priests got a bunch of supporters and probably rabble from the streets to make an outcry to Yeshua's crucifixion and it was this public outcry that convinced Pilate to go ahead.
Judas (Judah) didn't expect Yeshua to be put to death. He probably thought Yeshua could convince the priests to leave him alone.
Yet Yeshua had already set the tone by his castigating of everyone he could think of on the temple grounds a few days before. The die had been cast.
