I love the expressions you use here. "...a pain in the tail." Fabulous.

The food seems to be the main point of worry now. I am so glad my squirrels get enough from me to be fat and cuddly (if only they would) at the end of Winter.

I suppose he is too old to take up with Cece? Once one has left a group it is probably hard to join up again. Different if there was a load of food around.

Maybe the neighborhood gang will come around and welcome him back after the air has thinned out a bit. For now, he will have to tread on thin ice.

Good Morning
Things are looking grim for the Backyard Squirrels. Everybody is starting to get hungry and there's not much food to pick from. There are dangers everywhere and to top it all off an old friend, Paladin is back in town.
Paladin was no longer a friend of Mellie's and she would not be inviting him over to the nest. Trubbles might have issues but at least he's stayed in town for the most part, except for when they thought he was a goner. I think I'd have to side with Trubbles because he did save Cece.
I think Mellie is was concerned with what kind of trouble Paladin may start when he's in town. I think he's up to no good but only time will tell.
