The days do fly by without much change. They appear to just melt into each other. The vaccinations should lead us towards a fresh start, at least one can hope.

For a while there was a huge demand and all one could get was the left-overs, so to speak. Then when it got to the point of getting expired dairy foods and wilted veggies, it was bad. My one daughter has good luck with the Amazon food delivery though, sometimes. She said I should try that.

Makes one wonder S.G I know you said there was not a demand for delivery of groceries but there is here sometimes it is a real pain to get one. Thank you

I know it must have been double the pain for you Taps . We have to think at least there is no pain for those who are no longer here. Sad about your friend, of course, he needs looking after it is all so difficult, You have always had a strong personality. My SIL lost my brother just after Christmas. She has a job to walk but keeps in fairly good spirits I phone her each day. and my friend who helps me is helping to maintain her garden.

There's light on the horizon--and GB seems to be doing well with vaccinations, so some of us will be freer to roam out of houses again, and even sit down in restaurants!

It’s hard to recall being free to roam with all of these Covid restrictions around here. I know we used to be able to go shopping and dine out. I like the part of your poem about ‘told in theory.” Very clever.

I have been reminded this week how thankful I am to have a home and to be able to live in it and take care of myself. A dear friend who has a home in San Francisco is having to deal with serious illness for a couple of weeks, so badly that the doctors want for him to go from the hospital to a rehab center and nursing home. He is almost ten years younger than I and has a beautiful home but lives alone and cannot take care of himself now. It is sad. I try to encourage him, and pray for him but......he is discouraged.
