Well Pat you have been through quite a lot of disappointment in your life.

It is great how you have pulled yourself up and excelled. I doubt if many men would have made such a success of life.

What Kabu said. And yep - I was laughing too.

This world is a hurtful place at one time or another for just about any and all of us.  It would help if all of us judged ourselves instead of judging others and showed love and understanding to others instead of trying to put on a good face by downing others.  But, life is not easy.

Priceless about Joe. I did have to laugh. (I already know about your children, as you say they are just who they are supposed to be.

You did what any mother who loves her children would do. You love the child. Period. One doesn't stop loving a child, does one? Kudos to you and your children. And perhaps that nephew is a gay pot-smoker?

Re: Re: Acceptance is everything to these kids.

My daughter and my brother, who graduated together from the same high school both thanked us for being accepting. The reason is that many peers and parents do not understand that a child is born this way, so they have often been berated for not changing their lifestyle.

Re: Good Morning

To Goldiec and Sassy - I'm so lucky to have the kids I do. They are amazing, and for the record, it's not a matter of accepting their decisions. I don't think one can decide to be gay or not any more than they can decide on their eye color or how tall they will grow up to be.

Good Morning

Pat, I loved your post.  You are so honest about everything in your life.  I think it's wonderful that you had six kids.  I always wanted six but I got three and I've always been thankful for them.  I think to accept your children just as they are is a beautiful testament to what kind of person you are.

My hubby used to freak out over our oldest daughter's public demonstrations. She put gay pride stickers all over her car, and she posts gay memes on Facebook. He is totally alright with her decision, he just felt that boasting about it was a bit overkill. He has since calmed down, and he has learned that he has several gay cousins.

Lol, he probably doesn't have a clue.

I have found that more people are accepting than not, at least in my world they are.

Good morning. You are an amazing mom.

Six kids is a handful. How I know this is that my mother-in-law is also the mother of six. It is wonderful that you are so open-minded and accepting of your kid's choices.
