Animal prints are fascinating. On the way to work, the ones I thought were from a deer, must have been made by the one Canada goose that roosted where water stood in a drainage passage, in the snow.

Re: CCT

I remember gardening and my mother, laying newspaper at the side door. Now it's mostly from rain and snow sir. Your comment has that imagery, picturing you walking in your fields. My fotprints were on the paths of mini pine nuggets and shredded pine or cocoa shells in the borders.

Re: Sea Gypsy

They simulate both wondering looking and thinking who or what made them ➖ in your mind.

Well, the muddy footprints are mine, Bill.  I am forever trying to sweep them away.

Yes, I have, especially when they're large.

We have wondered plenty since we get all walks from the animal kingdom.

I have found deer, squirrel, opossum, bird, raccoon, dog, cat, and one that even looked like a bear print. I have several feeders, so we have grown to expect it.
