I'm a big fan of Patterson. He is the master of the page turner. I attribute it to his short chapters.

Re: Re: Good morning!
The same here, but it will melt before we know it. A few months from now our yards will be bursting with flowers.

Sassy, you will have such a good time at Guy Fieri's new restaurant. I know the food will be delicious! I watch him on the Food Network all the time. He is awesome!

Re: Good morning!
Sassy, that is really good news! It's warming up here but I can still see the snow covering everything.

I just love a quiet and peaceful house. John is off today, so we will have our "Taco Tuesday in the form of Guy Fieri's Trash Can Nachos at his new restaurant that recently opened in our area. That chuck roast that you are preparing will have your house smelling heavenly in no time.

Re: You may need batteries for your weather radio while you are stocking up,
Pat, these are excellent ideas. Thanks for sharing them. I don't have a weather radio so I think I better get one. I will have to go in search of nutrition bars. I've never bought those but they would surely come in handy in the middle of a disaster. I'm so glad I asked for ideas. On the news this morning they were saying it's still very bad in Texas. I remember during Katrina the people in the storm's path suffered for a long time. I can remember watching the news and the houses in the 5th ward of New Orleans were abandoned because they were so bad. Rescuers were going house to house in boats to see if anyone was still there. They would go in houses and there'd be poisonous snakes in the houses. The rescuers would just turn around and leave once they knew there were no people in the house. To this day I do not believe they've ever opened the 5th ward back up. It's under sea level and it's just not safe.

You may need batteries for your weather radio while you are stocking up,
and don't forget nutrition bars as something to eat that doesn't need to be cooked or refrigerated.
