Well it certainly stretches ones imagination. I expect in time powered vesicles will roam the great outside of our atmosphere. It just makes one wonder if we are too far from other civilizations . Although a few million years may have made a difference to some other aspects of life.

I remember well John F. Kennedy introducing the idea we could
launch a space ship to the moon. It's always been fascinating to me. I was walking in the hall in the Science Building on the Alton campus at SIUE, very early '60s, when someone said well, he's up there. John Glenn. Somehow I had the sense the space ship was orbiting directly over that building at that moment. Fascinating.

I love the space program and I watched the landing on Mars. I am so amazed that we could watch the rover on Mars. I studied the pictures at great length.

I agree with you and I sat and enjoyed the successful decent of that little vehicle in that vast empty would. I felt lonely for it. This year is supposed to get better and perhaps this win is a help in that direction...plus a sane sensible regime in the white house, that is such a relief as well.
