Kabu, I'm glad you are staying inside! It's just too cold outside. I know dressing in layers does keep you warm. Sometimes when it's really cold I will wear two pairs of gloves.

Not going anywhere today. It is -1 F. outside today. No wind but even a breeze would make it unbearable. Still this is not unusual for us. Layers of clothes and thick socks with fake fur lined boots and ribbed rubber soles against slipping on the ice.

In February last year I enjoyed early migrant wildlife on Groundhog Day in the park, checking daffodil spears, and saw a robin in the warm winter of February, and the nice spring that COVID ruined.

The sun is shining here and snow flakes are falling. I am just going to feed the cat. It has an electric heater in a greenhouse so it can keep warm.

It is extremely cold here too. We had some unexpected snow, but the sun is trying to peek through the dismal cloud coverage today. We plan to celebrate our anniversary on Valentine's Day after we get off of work. March cannot come soon enough for me. I love Spring!

Valentine's Day is supposed to extremely cold - in fact to break a record set in 1905 of -2 degrees. As you say, everybody seems ready for a spring warmup.
