Re:

Well Ciel I thought I had the monopoly on riding like that. I suppose it was a fun thing

in those days. No I wonder how one would stay upright.

Both these poems bring me to smiles! I especially enjoy the ones that let me see you a million years younger!  I also enjoyed my bike, weaving and swerving in curves that relied on momentum and made observers nervous. But I never crashed it!

Would not dare even ride down the block today!

I don't hear that much whistling. Maybe because of COVID.

Re: Kabu

It was one of the little joys of childhood. I also did little squeaks once to . Oh! never mind. It was horrible.

Re: Pat

Time tells . And we get too many plastic bags now all the deliveries are in thin plastic bags and they are not recyclable. Suppose to be burned to provide energy

Re:

I expect your mouth was too soft SG. One hardly ever hears those wretched wolf whistles now.  I suppose some might have liked them.

Keep on whistling no matter what happens, I say...With grocery stores swamped on account of snow, the shopping bag really strikes me.

I couldn't whistle very well ever! I wished I could do so as my brother was very good at those loud whistles and my mom could whistle music.

My lips seemed to have lost plasticity as I grew older and I

could not pucker up tightly enough to whistle. One of the "joys" of getting older, I guess. I am sorry the plastic bag you liked so well didn't actually last forever.

I never could whistle properly. I think it is a gift to be able to whistle a tune.

A boy and his bicycle on a summer day. Innocent enough.

Whistling is an art that not all children master. We have been trying to teach our young grandson, but he is still working on it.
