My fave is Waffle House pecan waffle with one egg basted and hash browns and orange juice.

For a very special treat it would be French Toast, bacon and scrambled eggs with a mimosa!

It used to be a cup of black coffee nothing added. Now it is a glass of water with my medications and pills that a dear friend insists I take.

Ciel, when I was growing up in the mountains my Grandparents used to have a huge breakfast.  They had a farm and there was always a lot of family there.  They'd have fried ham, fried potatoes, eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon, grits, and the grown-ups would have coffee with cream. We would all have orange juice and apple butter would always be on the table.  Can you just imagine this much food at the breakfast table?  This was before they ever said anything about cholesterol.  The funny thing was nobody was overweight and they ate like this.  I would never cook like this because for one thing I don't think it's good for us to eat like this and the mess from the dirty dishes would be a lot of work.

Breakfast treats

Ciel, your breakfast sounds delicious.  I think it's brilliant to toast the bread before making the french toast.  I never thought of that.  Thanks for the tips.  Lately, I've had such a taste for couscous.  When I was researching couscous it said it's not high on the carbs list.  It said quinoa was higher.  I was surprised by that.  I'm not sure what my diet is missing but couscous has been so good.  When I got up this morning I heated some up and it was delicious.  It does have iron in it and I'm thinking maybe I need extra iron.  I've now eaten couscous three days in a row. What can I say? This was a great post.

My first choice is a sausage patty, egg, and cheese on an English muffin.

Waffles, breakfast burritos, toast, and oatmeal are also on my list. If it is closer to lunch, I love a kosher tuna salad on rye bread or crab.
