Try as they might, history can't be erased or changed (though many have reinvented their history in books). Those statues should be moved to a museum and something more relevant in its place.

Taking them down and putting them in a museum of History would have been a much better idea I believe. No one should ever forget what historical events costs a people or Nations of people, but the museum where that History can be researched makes sense to me.

I have always felt that history is important for everyone. This was a very sad time for all of us. I think it's important that we know what took place in our country so that we will know what to do in the future to make our country strong.
