They made a movie about a family that was separated at Ellis. I tried to google it and there are several movies about Ellis Island and the hospital.

Sassy, I was just thinking can you seriously imagine how strong these people were to survive coming to a new land and having to find a way to make a living?  My Aunt worked with a lady that told her she had wanted to come to America because she had heard the streets were paved in gold.  Imagine how she felt when she got here.

It is completely heartwrenching. They spoke no English and were completely dependant upon us showing them the ropes. Obviously, most of them figured it out. As for the hauntings, that sadly goes with the territory of devastation and mass deaths.

Good Morning

Oh my!  This is so sad to me.  People were coming here to start new lives and some were sent home because they were too sick to come into our country and some died.  It's heart-wrenching to think of these people far away from their homeland. As far as the haunting goes I have no doubt because these were tortured, souls.
