I have to have my toes tucked in as well. Those surprises are even worse in the dark.

If I'm under the covers I'm safe and can fall asleep fast.  My toes have to be tucked into the blankets though just for good measure.  I want no surprises in the middle of the night.

LOL.  I felt that way as a child in the dark, but I out-grew it.
