Anib, we always have pork for New Year's Day. They say it's for Good Luck and I'm not sure but there's no reason to tempt fate. I hope you have a great New Year!

FSI, the locker room was something I didn't think of either. The kids seem to think it's normal now. I'm not so sure about that. I think it's too cold but I guess this is the new normal at least for now.

Sea Gypsy, I was surprised too! Natasha didn't seem to mind and when I said something she said she'd be fine. I can only hope so. I think a lot of us will have the same dinner for New Year's Day.

I never thought about the locker room aspect. It seems, though, to be a recipe for pneumonia in these times.

I checked out the window, seeing a steady rain all morning, tapering off and brighrening. By the time I go for takeout, it's supposed to be sunny and 48. My, how school's been harder for later generations.

Swim practice in that weather! Wow! I guess it's good and kids don't mind. Yes, your New Year's dinner sounds good. Same food here.

Pat, I'm so glad you were able to get out and get the things you needed from the grocery store. I'm afraid of icy roads and sidewalks too. If I'm cooking the house does smell good but sometimes we just have leftovers which I love because it's easy clean-up after dinner. Thank you so much for your comment!

We had a warmup overnight, but the temps are dropping again, rain
will turn to snow as the evening falls - slick roads tomorrow. Lucky thing I got out for a bit today and rounded up a few things from the grocery store. Slick roads and sidewalks scare me. Your house must smell wonderful with all the fantastic things you cook... Have a very happy new year's celebration.

Sassy, you and John are so good to your animals. Where do you get your hot dogs for the raccoons? When you see the wreath let me know what you think. It sounds like you are going to have a very nice New Year's celebration.

I hope that the green peas bring you all the luck in the world.
The only thing that I have to make is Buffalo chicken dip. Jessica is making the pork kielbasas and sauerkraut. We are keeping it small and simple. We will also have taco dip and chili. I am going to check out your bird feeder wreath. I haven't had much time to do anything other than house chores and spitting out my blog articles. It is nice here today. The snow is gone. We are headed out to get hot dogs for the raccoons. I already broke up about four bags of soft tortillas for the deer and the birds. Happy New Year!
