It sounds like it was a delicious meal and a lovely day - what a shame about the casserole though. Best to toss it as you did.

I could most likely do what you did ...once i have sat down to eat, I am finished with the kitchen cooking. LOL. So glad you had a lovely day.

Pat, I can totally see me doing this!  When things get crazy around here and I'm doing a lot of cooking anything is possible.  When I put the biscuits in to cook I always stay right by the oven until they are done.  I could very easily burn those and the kids love them. It sounds like you had a very nice day.  The chocolate silk pie sounds delicious.  I made a huge pot of mashed potatoes because everyone in the family loves them.  I have to bring out my big pot for them.

I was so busy yesterday that I didn't hear about the explosion until last evening when Roy's sister called.  I couldn't believe it.  It's very scary.  I hope there are no copycat incidents.  I'm so glad your granddaughter is okay.

It is easy to overlook something with so much going on.

I do it quite a bit when I have a lot on my plate in one day. Lucky for you, whipping up another batch will be quick and easy. My mom makes scalloped potatoes every Christmas. I missed out on hers due to being 3,000 miles away. I played it safe and went with fully loaded mashed potatoes.
