Ciel, I love the leaves. I have some pink depression dishes that I absolutely love.  We have collected green depression dishes and clear too.  They are beautiful.  I like to study all the different patterns made at that time.  I went to a garage sale one day and a man was selling a pink depression dish which I was quite familiar with.  He was selling it for $2 and I went up to him and told him the dish was worth $35.  He said it was his mother's and if I would like to have it he would take the $2.  I asked if he was sure and he said yes and I bought it.  I have had it ever since.  It's in my buffet cabinet.  I've always felt good about telling the man how much his dish was really worth.  $35 was too much for me at the time but I was so happy I got it for $2.

Re: sassyass,

Thanks!  I also really like the older stuff--something to do with nostalgia and connection with family who are now gone. I have a lot of my mom's old pyrex, too: various sized custard dishes, some flat dishes that are great for microwaving small things.

Your dishes probably have some kind of maker's marks on the bottom, if you want to know what they are.

And, yes, we are caretakers of heirlooms, aren't we? Looking after them until it is time to pass them along.

Oh, these are so pretty. I love the green leaves.

These would match just about any decor. You have great taste! My favorite serving bowls were handed down to me from my mother-in-law. They belonged to her mother. I have the old Pyrex from the 50s, 60s & 70s. I also have a few serving dishes and gadgets that my mother gave to me. Everyone who eats with us always comments on those dishes. Apparently, they are worth money. I will never know because one day I will give them to my three daughters.
