I'm familiar with men like this.  My sister-in-law was married to a guy like this.  He went on to marry several other ladies and the thought is so disgusting to me.  I'm not sure how all these women fell for this man but I have the feeling you could always spot one of these predators.  They are such low-life people that try to take advantage of vulnerable women.  No man like this has ever crossed my path.  Thank goodness.

Prof-splaining... I don't hold with the idea that its only a man thing, though it very often is. Sounds like your guy had his ego tied up in his great and superior knowledge. Not much into wisdom, though.

You dodged a bullet! Predatory is an understatement.

I have that feeling about you that you can definitely take care of yourself. You are no dummy by any means. Smart women and that guy just do not work on any level. Jason Alexander also has played well at the predatory parts, especially as an attorney in, "Pretty Woman." Guys like him are easy to find. It is the really great ones that are hard to locate.

Hmm! Reminds me of a man who went on a day trip. He asked most single ladies if they would come and live with him. One said Yes.I don't know if one could call it romance.
