Such great writing prompts! I hope the folks at the Center do view the FB Page. It would be good for them.

Re: The best story my mom shared was her making dresses out of flour sacks.

I enjoy the stories you get from my little hints Sassyass_64 - My mother made distowels out of the white flour sacks - used iron-on transfer designs to embroider motifs on them - I still have several of them.

Once the idea is there it might renew the ambition to tell a story. I guess thoughts are a bit scattered a the moment.

I forgot to mention that I enjoy your writing prompts.

It takes me to another place and time and away from the drudgery of the events going on in the world. Thanks.

The best story my mom shared was her making dresses out of flour sacks.

When she was young, potatoes came in pretty fabric sacks. She had a love for sewing and asked her grandmother to teach her to sew. Granny Dill had a decorated 1910 Singer sewing machine that sat nestled in a wooden table. My mom located in her house after granny passed. She still has it, but no longer uses it. Anyway, before long she was wearing new dresses to school. It is the one thing that she talks about from her childhood that makes her smile. Other than that story, my mother and grandparents often talked about ghosts and the haunted homes that they had lived in. Maybe this is where my interest in the paranormal comes from. My grandfather and I shared a late October birthday. For whatever reason, he witnessed quite a few ghosts in his life.
