I sure hope that 2021 will be a better year than in 2020. This has really been a hard year for everyone for so many reasons.

From my perspective, if God didn't want scientists (medical and otherwise) to understand the universe, He wouldn't have given them the intelligence to investigate it. Therefore, insensitive as it may be, it's okay with me if the mask-objectors and anti-vaxers go on their merry way and possibly remove themselves from the gene pool. I am out of patience with those who live like they bear no responsibility for anyone else.

All these hopeful prognostications rest on the success of the vaccine and that relies on optimal usage of it. Think of vaccination as the next level of masking up: There will be people who for reasons of their own will not cooperate with it, there will be outcries against it. We are not out of the woods yet. But at least we have a relatively competent government to respond to the obstructions that will come up.
