FSI, I'm ready for warmer weather too! We only had a few really cold days and that was enough for me! Now I need lots of sunshine. Thank you so much for the comment!

Re:
Taps, I know you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love all the sides for Thanksgiving as much as the main dishes. My grandkids would tell you the mashed potatoes are best but I would say the stuffing is best. Thank you so much for the comment.

Re:
Sea Gypsy, I'm making apple butter today and I looked up online to see if apple butter was keto-friendly but they said no because of the carbs. I'm going to check into it more though. Thank you so much for the comment.

Re: Since I've been on my own I usually just buy the turkey breast, and
Pat, one of the reasons Roy wanted to buy a turkey breast was because it's so much easier so we compromised and we will get a smaller turkey plus the turkey breast. I think it will be fine for our family. Thank you so much for the comment.

Re:
Kabu, when I was in the grocery store I did see smaller size turkey breast and that might work for you. I'm going to buy one too. Thank you so much for your comment.

You should have a really nice day.
We have been given orders to stay at home. I am not sure what we are going to do.

Always a good thing
hearing from the ones you love, that they're happy to be with you (and eating your mashed potatoes).
I like mashed potatoes too. So, I can't blame your grandson.

P.D. & Phil are coming and bringing Honey Baked Ham for a change. I will fix the side dishes and some hot buns. In our city they are telling us not to have company especially from out of state. Perhaps I will live to a time when all family will be able to celebrate together again.

Since I've been on my own I usually just buy the turkey breast, and
even if there are several of us at the dinner, there are always leftovers. The breast often weighs 5 or 6 pounds and the carving is so much easier.

I do wish that they would make much smaller roasts of turkey for people on their own. I was looking today and everything is so big.I did by large shrimps in a small bag and they are thawing in the fridge for me for tomorrow. In Australia, we call them prawns.
