My grandkids aren't being taught how to do it. I hear they are also not teaching the more complex arabic as well.

I cannot even imagine not being able to read cursive. I agree that is an art-form, and it should be considered a unique piece of script that is important to our history.

One problem with not teaching cursive in our elementary grades is
that one day if these youngsters grow up to be researchers or historians, they will not be able to read the documents in archives written before the invention of the typewriter. Plus, which it's a mind-body connection and an art form.

I prided myself once I accomplished this learning experience.
I have never understood the ending of beautiful penmanship; it is something that history should have never let go of.
