I too love your candor. It explains your exemplary writing.
I struggle with grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. I do not have a degree and have learned along the way. It has not been easy and I am good at making mistakes where English is concerned. I love history in all aspects. It is good to know the why, where, and when it took place.

Well FS I learned most of my English from trial and error. A lad who was in the same class as I was, once told me that he had obtained a situation in a chemist's shop.
He was told by the lady owner that Wednesday was not spelled Wensday, A lot of children probably wrote as the word sounded, and further more the villages had a different dialect.

I love this post! Once you mentioned English I knew it was going to be really good! We could have been best friends in the English class! I'm wondering what you mean by shadowed? I'm not familiar with that term in class. I know you would have been an excellent English teacher. I must say you have a way with words and I love your stories. I do believe you have a gift! That is priceless!

As far as I go I write the way I talk and that goes against the grain so to speak and I break the writing rules but that's okay because I've actually succeeded by being down to earth.
