Re:Sassyass

Yes Sassy I know some make it for easy money. I am afraid not many stopped. He was only young and as you say it was a pleasant gesture to inquire if I could afford the few pounds.

RePat

I know life has not been easy for you at times Pat. I guess most of we older folk have known hard times.

That's very nice of you to give something to the homeless man.

I have lived very close to the bone at times, writing a check at the grocer

on Friday night because I know it wouldn't hit my bank before my check cleared on Monday - but thank heavens I never had to live on the street with all the discomfort and risk that offers.

It’s hard to tell the real needy people from the pros sometimes. How nice of you! Sweet poem.

Many homeless people are in need and not proud of that fact.

The man obviously had a conscience or else he wouldn't have bothered to ask if it could be afforded. Both the giver and the recipient have a heart.
