No, no people with guns when I went trick-or-treating. It was always cold for me and I wasn't much on candy so I'd often just trick-or-treat a short while and then help give out the candy to the kids while sis and baby bro went and collected their haul. They'd dump out their pillowcases which were full of candy. I'd do likewise. My sis, being a math person, would organize the candies by type, and then count them out, while eating as much as she could half the time. We'd make deals trading the "good" stuff for other candies. I liked Nestle's Crunch. They didn't care as much for them. It was all good. But there we many years I dumped out my girls' candy when they were little because there were so many bad things and drugs happening that I didn't trust it. I had plenty of candy for them to eat instead.

Happy Halloween

When the kids used to trick or treat we would sample their candy.

I guess some treats were hard earned in those days Across the road from me the folk did hang out aa couple of sheets and wrote do not enter on the front door. I notice one of the sheets is trailing onto the porch.

Lol, no!

The treats may not have been worth it when faced with that old man's gun.
