Re: Re: adnohr,
But no in Canada. Apparently only in 2025.

Re: Re: Goldiec,
Ciel, I also think the next few weeks are going to be crazy. We are right outside Cleveland and there was so much trouble this summer and I'm not sure what will happen after the election.

Re: Goldiec,
I have to admit, I want to be prepared for a lot of staying home over the next week or so. After Election Day, there are possibly going to be shenanigans in the streets. This area has a very diverse population, red and blue!

Re: Sea Gypsy,
Yes, it is really about timing, going when there are not so many people trying to get through the door.

Re: adnohr,
Apparently no TJ's in Canada, but Aldi is a relative with a similar business model.

But there is so much satisfaction in knowing that you can start so many new science experiments!

Re: Pat,
I'd shop earlier, but when Charlie comes along... well, he is not an early morning person.

Re: CCT,
Don't forget to order cookies, uncrumbled. One should always have the option of crumbling one's own cookies. And congratulations on the feat of working out the system!

Well Ciel I have at last sussed out how to get goods delivered from the local Waitrose.
One has to buy ones groceries say a fortnight in advance a token order but it must be £40. One can then add or delete until the day before delivery. It is a bit boring but it is how the cookie crumbles.

I've been putting off a trip to the store. I like to go early when most
people are still deciding whether or not to get out there, but I have to wait until the sun is up because driving in the dark ain't my thang... Early morning the aisles aren't so crowded, and our stores ask people to send only one shopper per family. Much quicker that way, too.

I don't think we have a Trader Joe's herre in Canada? n Quebec we have Bourassa stores who carry all those special things we 'need' and cheaper than most stores too.

Good for you getting all that done. I haven't been in a TJs in 8 months. I long to go there. My daughter has been shopping for me but the lines are so long I don't want her there, standing in the heat. Now it may cool off a little.

Ciel, you accomplished a lot today. I'm glad you were able to go to the store and get the things you needed. I've only been to Trader Joe's once but it was a nice store. It's nice when the refrigerator is cleaned out and you can start fresh. I make a sweep of our fridge on rubbish day. I'm glad you shopped for freezer items. It's nice to have supplies when we need them. I hope you have a good night!
