Re: It seems as though you've built a regular neighborhood for these
Pat, it really is like a neighborhood. I know they will be thankful when they are in their houses snuggled in their warm beds, listening to the howling wind outside during one of our snowstorms. At that point they will know how fortunate they are to live here with people that love them. I hope you have a wonderful night!

Re:
Kabu, Mum is the word! I promise I won't tell! I am a little worried about how the Gnomes will react when they wake up and find the little village. The one thing I can tell you is that I won't take any nonsense from them and they know it. Mighty McV is going to be another issue. There's a possibility that I will have to send him packing if it causes too much trouble! Do you have room for one more Gnome?

Re:
C_C_T, Thank you so much for the comment. I think your larder sounds like our fruit cellar. My grandma used to keep food in it. When you say a safe do you mean something like a pie safe which was almost like a hutch of some sort?

It seems as though you've built a regular neighborhood for these
lovelies - and mailboxes. They must have an amazing zipcode.

Don't you dare tell my fairies what you have done or I shall have a terrible Summer next year.LOL. What a lot of work and expensive you and Roy have gone to for the poiled little People. If your Gnomes find out, even if they are tucked up warm in bed....well I warned you now I shall sit throughout the Winter waiting to see what comes.

Well after all that work, you really deserve your little friends. I suppose the birds will be wondering if they will get new housing in the Spring. What was A larder well it was a small room in which one kept food for use. Remember there were no fridges so stuff had to be preserved. Of course laughable in a cruel way food never lasted long enough to go off. Sour milk if ever was turned into cheese. A safe was hung in the shade to keep the flies from laying eggs on the meat. You see in the country there was only agricultural work and as you may guess it was random.
