That is sad, and I do agree with you, as a former smoker I know how one blames everything except the cigarette.

Addictions and bad habits are the death of many.
I too used to smoke until it affected my health. It was once considered the thing to do. It is sad that he couldn't stop in time. He was a great guitar player who set the bar really high for those who have tried to master his skills.

Well we did not know or were not told that smoking was harmless. It is a real pain to give it up if one is addicted.
