Well Taps we always vote by post. The way things are a lot of folk would not bother to vote at all if it was out of their way.It does seem a bit hard on the older folk, perhaps someone would take you.?/

I wouldn't be happy about that change either.
I have voted in the same place for seven years, so I understand your complaint. It does seem strange that the new voting station is doomed by a catastrophe from the past such as one filled with gloom and doom. Good luck to you. I prefer to vote in person, so no mail-in vote for me.

In Maryland, the amount of polling stations has been reduced for election day. I'll be doing early voting. I could see things being very crowded on election day.

Voting
Taps, the church you will be voting at comes with quite a bit of sad history. I'm glad you are familiar with the area so that you won't have to search around for the building. I voted by mail this year as always and for the first time that I recall they gave us a site to go to and check if they received our ballot and if it will be counted. After I mailed my ballot I waited a few days and then checked my name. They did receive my ballot and they said it would be counted. I feel good about that. We live in such trying times.

As they say, your vote is very important - and this election is the most
important "in history." Our Main Street Center had been a polling place until this year when CDC regulations made it impossible - something to do with bathroom facilities needing to be private for other visitors to the center and the election workers. This pandemic has thrown a monkey wrench into a lot of machines.

Be glad it has moved. Our polling place was overrun with cars driving in circles all around the parking lot.

Here one can authorize another person to drop off the ballot for you at a polling place and they compare signatures. They have been setting the mail-in ballot boxes with ballots in them on fire here so I don't want to do that. The post office is questionable, considering the fact that they can't deliver something to my house correctly, so I hope you can get your ballot it safely.

Re: Kabu
No reason I can't drive it, and P.D. has already volunteered to take me. I've just kind of lost my desire to go. LOL. We shall see what we shall see.

and yes I did see the Fim, many years ago now. It was really a film for that time and Australia was a good pick.
