Yes the outlook is gloomy, but most of us will pull through at least we are not being bombed/

Gloomy times ahead seems inevitable for many. Many older people are afraid to go out and afraid to have visitors so they sit at home alone day in and day out. But spring will come. Perhaps things will be better by then.

This is an excellent post! I've learned something today. I was concerned with our rainfall in Cleveland and it sounds like you have it worse than us. I hope that you do find some facts on the flood from long ago. I would really be interested in reading about it.
