I was brought up to love and respect old peope and I always have. Now I am one. No one has ever treated me poorly.

I can only speak for myself...I receive a lot of respect from younger folk; until they get on the road. it seems Bill, that a little older lady in a little car is free game to harrass.

I say there's less respect for elders today. A variety of reasons exist as to why. Individualism is promoted to where people do not care much about others. Some young people blame elders for the reason the young are in the position they are in. Authority in general has become less respected.

Not even close to the same.
Our elders should be respected, heard, and cherished. They are a dying breed who holds the true pieces of history in their hands. We are teaching our eight-year-old grandson to offer his seat to someone who is older and to hold the door for a lady. Chivalry should never die.

Love the definitions - on point! I’n A Dylan fan - bith of them! Yes, based on my grandsibs abs their friends, utvseens lije respect still exists. However. It needs to be taught abd reinforced early. Good question.
