Well your Mother always had good advice. I guess one learns the hard way as a rule.Perhaps I was cured when touched a young woman'a hair as I was daydreaming.

Pat, I have to say your Mama was right! Women have put up with so much in the work force. I could be wrong but I don't think it's as bad as it used to be. I think this is what makes women what I would call tough cookies! They can become lethal weapons if need be. I wish I knew when I was young what I know now. I explain to my granddaughters that they don't have to deal with anything that does not feel right to them. I know Oprah said if something doesn't feel right it's not. I think it's our women's intuition. I also believe in equal pay for women. It was not like that for a very long time.

Yes, absolutely your mama was right, but you know that now.
I dealt with this crap in the 80s when I was employed at the Navy base in Nevada. We were not allowed to fraternize with the officers, yet they were allowed to do and say what they pleased to us girls. I had my butt grabbed on more than one occasion. The other waitresses use to tell me to shake it off, it is how we make the big tips. Talk about a double standard. Needless to say, I did not last at the officer's club.

Mama was right. What a weazels some men were, probably still are well especially now that a certain leader is showing that anything and everything can be thrown verbally at least at a woman.
