Yes one needs plenty of cold storage. Nothing seems to last very long otherwise.

The new refrigerator sounds like a really good idea. That was so nice of your son. I think it will make your life easier because all your food will be in one place. Our refrigerator is not big but we do have a big freezer in our back room. It really helps with all the garden vegetables that I froze. We could use another refrigerator because there are always so many family members here.
