how lovely when the granschildren want to come and stay. When we lived in the same duplex with my younger son I was the permanent babysitter. The little ones spent as much time with me as their parents.

Sassy, I know your kids have so much fun with you and John. I know they get excited every time you take them for a walk down by the river. It's about 55 here now and that's not too bad with the frost we had this morning.

That is a bonus. I wish that there were kids in our neighborhood.
When our grandkids spend the night they are dependent upon our attention. They live in the country where there are no kids. They need to have friends their own age. You are keeping Roy busy. John and I just water-sealed our outdoor wooden surfaces. He fixed a broken cupboard hinge, and last week, he fixed a leak under our sink as well. We are getting ready to mow the yard for what we hope is the last time this year. For a frosty morning, it has turned surprisingly sunny and warm.

It's good to read about your grandchildren and the time you get
with them. It's a lucky kid who gets time with grandparents - they learn about who their parents were as kids, and so much about the family history and way of being.
