Yes I expect it brings back memories. After all we don't know what the children of today will look forward too. I suspect some movement is due to loss of jobs. Although overhere some folk are moving into the country, feeling it may be safer.

I agree with everyone else's comments. This is a sweet post.

It appears that you have made a new friend. It is heartwarming to know that kindness still exists despite how horrible the situation with the world today. I suspect that there are many more job losses still to come with another round of COVID. It is hard to live with no resources.

I liked the feel of this one - sweet all the way 'round. I hope for their

sakes the folks who seem to be there all day may be working from home. Sad to think of so many being evicted or losing their homes in the economic crash caused by Covid. I'd enjoy watching the kids play, too.

Yes! Postings like this are what keeps me coming back into Blogit. Nothing like a bunch of playing rugrats and a grandma with a smiling wink to make it all right!

A portrait of a beautiful and a kind woman

I loved this post!  I find it amazing that his friends left him to retrieve his ball by himself.  I smile at the portrait you painted of yourself.  I'm sure that is not the person he saw when you opened your door.  I know what he saw was an older woman that was gracious enough to let him retrieve his ball.  I loved it when my kids used to play ball outside and there was a neighbor that would take every ball that accidentally went in her yard and never give it back.  My kids still remember her.  One time she called the police and told them that my cat had destroyed her garden.  The funny thing about that was I didn't have a cat and that is what I told the officer.  I'm glad you were so kind to the boy.
