Karma
Sassy, this is a great post. There were many people from what they used to call the old country that would come to america and bring their knowledge with them. They could cure illness with herbs that they grew or picked from the hillside. Their knowledge was not understood and as in all walks of life evil people told lies and tried to ruin their lives. That is when Karma stepped in to even the score.

Of course a good witch was very helpful in that period. Sadly a lot of old women were condemned for appearing to be a witch
