Re:
Ciel, thank you so much for your comment. I never thought about extra drumsticks. That is an awesome thought. I don't make my own bread but it sounds delicious! I think this year I'm going to go for two turkeys but they will be smaller in size. I will try to make them equal to one big turkey.

Your holiday plans sound happily traditional! There's much to be said for extra drumsticks and more breast-meat which so many people prefer. And I have always planned for those next-days' turkey sandwiches and salad and soup! If you make your own bread, you can season it with stuffing herbs so those sandwiches are on stuffing-bread!

Sassy, Jessica's house sounds wonderful! I love playing darts and that PS 5 sounds awesome. My boys would love that. Have you played it? I know that Little John loves air hockey. What's Chloe's favorite thing to do?

Re: Re: Of course neighbor, our weather is about the same as yours.
Jessica's house is a 30-mile drive for us. November should still be fairly snow-free. We will celebrate indoors. They have an awesome Gameroom with air hockey, a dartboard, board games, a PS 5, a pool table, and a fully stocked bar. Her house is amazing. It is where we all meet for parties these days due to the massive space, and it is close for all of the girls to travel to.

Sassy, your celebrations are awesome! We will have ham too. I'm already looking forward to the pictures you post. I know so many times when you get together you go outside but I'm not sure the weather will hold up for that. How far is Jessica's house from your house? Everyone always comes here for Holidays. Natasha and Nadine always come the day before to help me. Nadine designs the table. She puts so much creative thought into it and I just love that. Natasha makes the stuffing and stuffs the turkey. She's been doing it for quite some time now. I remember the first year she did it she was mortified that she had to touch the turkey. It was so funny! She couldn't believe she had to put the stuffing inside the turkey. Michelle and I laughed till we almost cried. I love those memories. We even took pictures.

Re:
FSI, I will have to remind myself not to check the mail too! Thank you so much for the comment. When I went to the bank on Friday there was no sign saying Monday was Columbus day. Normally they always post when there's a day like this. That seems odd to me.

Of course neighbor, our weather is about the same as yours.
We plan on spending Thanksgiving at Jessica's house. She has the biggest house out of all of our children. We will all bring a side dish, and we will provide a spiral ham. Jessica will have a turkey. It will be a fun day of food, games, and spending time with the kids.

It's very rare for Columbus Day to be on his actual birthday. I have to remind myself not to check the mail.
