I have to google all this. I was not aware that AB+ can be a universal donor of plasma.

Re: Goldiec
I'm not sure where I got it from. My dad does not know his blood type. Mom is B+, so Dad is either A +/- or AB +/-.

But I forgot - it's wonderful how you have given blood and will be a plasma donator.

I was always too skinny to give blood. They wouldn't accept me, then just when I started to put on some weight I had cancer so I have never been eligible. I've felt sad about it but one can't always do what they would like.

Well mine is no use. So I was told, some disease kids got when young can be passed on.

Wow, your blood type seems rare. I am the average O+
Every time that I donate blood, I feel weak afterward. I feel bad about no longer donating because had it not been for a blood transfusion back in 1978, I would not be here to comment on your post.

FSI, did you get you AB from your Mom or Dad? I have A negative and they are always in need of my blood. I don't like the way I feel when I give blood so I usually don't donate now but I have many times before. The last time I gave blood I told the nurse that I never felt good after giving blood and she said I should drink more water before I give blood. Because of the Covid, I have not considered giving blood.
