I perfectly understand your nerves. I really wanted at least one teacher would like me but it never happened for me.

FSI, I know you were surprised that he was so accommodating. I would have been nervous to approach him too. If he was having a bad day it could have gone downhill but fortunately, you were a good student. I love these posts.

It sure doesn't hurt when the teacher knows that you are a serious student.
He trusted you to not mess around. Nothing wrong with a great teacher-student relationship.
