Re: Sounds like lots of people were putting off medical appointments

Pat, I've been going to this Dr. for several years and this is the first time the waiting room has been full and I had to wait so long.  I was really surprised.  I actually went early hoping I would get in early but it didn't work out like that.  You were so lucky to be in and out so fast. Thank you so much for the good wishes!  You are such a good friend!

Sounds like lots of people were putting off medical appointments

and then they all show up at once. Last time I was at the Dr. there were only 3 of us in the big waiting room, I was in and out within 30 minutes. I hope next time you go, you have that kind of luck.  Hope you're feeling better.

Re: Sinus infections can be so painful.

Sassy, thank you so much!  He did give me Blood pressure medicine but with the world turned upside down I'm not surprised my BP is up.  I figured it was going to be off the chart.

Sinus infections can be so painful.

I have had a few. No fun at all. I am happy to hear that it was nothing more serious. Hope you feel better.

Re:

C_C_T, My doctor says what you have is white coat syndrome and I have the same thing.  One time they had to put me in another room away from the doctor to take my BP.  I'm not sure what's going on this time but they did give me a prescription so we shall see.

Re:

FSI, thank you so very much for the good wishes.  I really appreciate it.

My BP always jumped when Doctors took it. So I now take my own about a week before and hand the week's result to the Doctor. Although we have not seen one and have to phone, that means waiting around all day as the receptionist never gives a time.

It sounds like things went well with the doctor's appointment. Wishing you well as you handle the sinus infection.

Re: Goldiec

BC_A, thank you so much for your comment. I've always had allergies and they are bad enough but the sinus infection is worse.  I hope I feel better soon!  I do know it could be worse though.

Re:

Sea Gypsy, thank you so much for your comment.  I'm thinking maybe you could just call your doctor and they could call in a prescription.  I feel so bad that you are still not back to normal. I'm hoping that my medicine will make me feel better soon.

Goldiec

So, the talking gave some normalcy. Sinus infections seem to bump colds, flu, and coronavirus.

Oh, I’m sorry you have a sinus infection. Mine didn’t ever clear from last month and I am afraid to call the doc about that. It’s a little better. You answered a lot of questions I had about how they would deal with someone with a sinus infection. I hope the meds clear it up. No fun. Take it easy. Yes, that entire episode would raise one’s BP.
