Re:

Pat_B, thank you so much for your comment.  It is a cute story that I wrote a long time ago for Halloween.  I'm so glad you liked the beginning of my story.

Re:

C_C_T, I love the ritual of family meals.  I think it's such an important part of the day.  Everyone can share what happened during their day while they eat a home-cooked meal. I think the world would be a better place if everyone did this but unfortunately, life is different now.  Families have spread apart and everyone works.  Although with the Pandemic there may still be a lot of people at home.

This sounds like it will be a nice cozy story. A touch of magic to make it exciting.

Not many families here who would remember the strict ritual of meal times.

Although years ago I did visit a farm for some reason and I saw the long table in the dining room where the family gathered for meals.

Re: This is a positively enchanting and jovial story. I love it.

Sassy, you will appreciate this little background on my story.  When I first wrote this story and Grandma Mayer was adding her ingredients she added a cup of sassy.  When I noticed that I changed it and I wrote this way before I knew you went by Sassy.  I think that is so funny.  You will have to tell John.

Sassy, thank you so much!  There's more to this story but I thought I'd share it a little at a time.  I don't know what I'd do if a cookie went flying past my head.  I would probably be lecturing somebody!!! haha

This is a positively enchanting and jovial story. I love it.

I also like the fact that everyone had to attend no matter what. Families sitting together at the table is such an important aspect of life. It allows for each person to share their day and converse about current events. I have to admit though, a cookie flying past my head would be quite entertaining. Your story is deserving of five stars.
