Re: Butter noodles are the bomb!
Sherri, Roy does help me and it's so nice! Shame on your son-in-law! He really should help. I wish I was there for the Mexican food. I know the kids loved it.

Butter noodles are the bomb!
It is great that Roy helps you clean up the kitchen. I have a son-in-law that says dishes and laundry are woman's work, so you guessed it, he does not help our daughter with the house chores. I once tried Burger King's chicken fries. They are good. We too had dinner guests. I made John his steak before our kids arrived, then I made Mexican food for them. It was a fun evening.

Re:
Sea Gypsy, thank you so much for the comment. I'm having trouble keeping up with who's in school and who's home on what day. I'm used to the old way of doing things. My granddaughter goes to school on Tuesday and Wednesday and she doesn't like following the traffic pattern in the school because of COVID. I would probably feel the same if I was in school.

Re:
Taps, thank you so much for the comment. 2020 has been such a strange year. Special needs children are a gift because they just want to be content and happy. My friend drives a school bus for special needs kids and she said at times it can be trying but they really are good kids. I have a cousin on my Dad's side that has special needs. She is older than me but has the mentality of a young teen. She sends me letters at Christmas. She tells me all about the rock stars and doing crafts and all the things a teen would be interested in. A couple years ago she was really mad because she didn't have a computer and she said all her friends did. After that her family bought her a computer. Life can be hard.

I think I am way past the age of schedules. 2020 is the year I have accepted just doing whatever comes along that needs doing and as much as I have the energy for doing. My oldest grandchild is 34 but with the mental capacity of a two year old. This evening I had the pleasure of entertaining him. He can't take care of himself but he is a beautiful and happy person that makes one feel good even if they don't.

Re:
Kabu, ever since the Pandemic began I've been worried about the kids not being able to see their friends. Thankfully they've relaxed the rules and the kids that play football can play again. They do have to get their temperature taken but so far there's been no problems with that. My granddaughter was able to play tennis too and she absolutely loved it. Their team just finished for the year.

kinda agree with distance learning for part of the week and part of the week to be outside as much as possible learning sports and how to compete and interact with their peers.
