Bravo to him! He saw the glass as half full rather than half empty.

When the Pandemic first started I was absolutely panic-stricken to the point of almost making myself sick. I was so worried about my kids and the thought of how we would all survive if things took a turn for the worse. We would go to the store and the shelves would be bare and that was very scary. We were lucky enough to get toilet paper but we couldn't find any disinfectant in any of the stores. As time went on things started to settle down and I started to view everything in a new way because I know the old way won't work now. I do believe I've come to a happy medium. My adult kids are working from home and I know they are okay and my grandkids seem to be quite resilent. I would talk to the kids on the phone and tell them I hope I don't get COVID and they would always say "Grandma, you aren't getting COVID" (they of course think I'm a superpower and no bug could bring me down) of course I know better but I always felt good when they assured me I would be okay. Now I'm living the new normal and it's really not so bad. I will say though I still don't like the mask I do wear it.

It is up to us to choose how we deal with this time in history. Not always easy to adapt but we can adjust that, along with our attitudes. Good post.

I would like to see society become less like ants rushing mindlessly almost through their lives. it is a time to smell the roses and do something different. My son and DIL have made quite a lucrative side line business from sewing masks and selling them. They are a really active couple so instead of all the rushing around that they usually do they have spent time together and made a tidy profit as well.

Re: TAPS
You're right. "Perhaps" is an automatic get out of jail free card... What I shoulda said was today we have got to tell a joke and laugh our butts off.

People don't usually go for the "perhaps we should" suggestions, not even the ones who suggest them. LOL. But there are always exceptions.

You make a really good point.
What doesn't kill us can often times make us stronger, and when something as immense as the COVID has proven to be, it makes you stop and think about how much you value life, family, and those people and things that you do not want to lose in the face of such a pandemic. I too have wondered if this was a wake-up call from God for us humans to get our acts together.
