Way back in my 50's I had the opposite effect. When I went for a regular visit to the Doc he was horrified by the amount of weight I had lost. I was real happy about it and said, "Yes, and I haven't even been trying." It was hyperthyroidism and they fixed it right away with a raduiactuve pill and I had to go back to watching my weight.

I'm thinking I need to order some warm jammies for the really cold nights too. I'm such a freeze baby!!! We keep the furnace and fireplace going along with our heated mattress pad and warm jammies under lots of covers. What can I say?

excellent news and I adore your happy dance. all I have bought for the winter is a couple of new pairs of jammie pants since I wore out some last Winter. Since I won't be going anywhere, I live in pyjamma pants and turtle neck tops.
